Dr. Jennifer J. Preece, Professor and Dean
Jenny Preece is the Dean of the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland, as of 2006. She researches online communities and is known for her work on what makes such a community successful, and how usability factors interact with socialibility in online communities.
Professor, PhD Harri Oinas-Kukkonen
Harri Oinas-Kukkonen is Professor of information systems at the University of
Oulu. His research interests lie in software design, including the next
generation of the Web, behavior change, and breakthrough innovations. In 2005,
he was awarded The Outstanding Young Person of Finland award by the Junior
Chamber of Commerce for his achievements in helping the industrial companies to
improve their Web usability.

Professor Rosalind W. Picard, Sc.D
Rosalind W. Picard is founder and director of the Affective Computing Research Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Laboratory, co-director of the Things That Think Consortium, the largest industrial sponsorship organization at the lab, and leader of the new and growing Autism Communication Technology Initiative at MIT.
